Mohamed Ahmed graduated from the University of Rochester this spring!

The George Washington University and the University of Rochester both accepted NEW BANAA SCHOLARS for the 2013-14 school year. Read about GW’s second Banaa scholar here.

Makwei Mabioor Deng, the first student to receive a Banaa scholarship, is now the Country Fellow for the International Growth Centre (IGC) in South Sudan.

Makwei graduated from the George Washington University in 2012, and returned to his home nation of South Sudan [08/17/12].
